HUAWEI P20 SERIES: FULL CAMERA REVIEW

PART 6: EXTRA CAMERA FEATURES

Let's check out the extra camera features and changes in the current P20 lineup.

For the P20 Lite, it carries the swiping gestures to switch between settings like its predecessors. Swipe towards the left for the settings. Swipe going to the right for the modes. Notice that the the AR lens feature is available. You can choose a sticker to apply when taking selfies or group selfies. And just like most Huawei phones, you have different modes available at your disposal.

The P20 and the P20 Pro has a new camera interface in terms of how to navigate around. They now use a scrollabe (or swipe) menu for the modes. The other modes are compiled within the MORE option. Here we can find the SloMo video mode, monochrome which also has its own mini menu for normal, aperture, portrait and pro features. The settings now has its own button on the upper right hand corner of the screen. Flash, moving picture and color mode also found on the top bar.  As it is already common in most flagship and some mid-tier phones, users can enable and save their photos in RAW format (DNG file). This can be enabled (and can only be enabled) when using the colored or rgb PRO MODE. RAW is not available when using the monochrome/black & white sensor even in pro mode.
